These are all questions that we are going to answer today on why you should be using funnels to sell beats. Also, how do you use funnels to sell beats effectively because lots of producers are now encouraging the use of funnels. But not a lot of producers explain how to use funnels effectively when selling beats.
First, let’s talk about what funnel builder you are thinking of using to sell your beats. If you want an easy solution and you are not too tech savvy. Then I would recommend using clickfunnels for a little while before you level up to cartflows in the future.

What Wrong With Clickfunnels
The downside to the clickfunnels program is your funnels can look spammy and similar to other clickfunnel built funnels. For a beginner it’s a good tool to use to play around with funnels before you decide to make the investment of a wordpress website with funnels.
Using cartflows compared to clickfunnels will be cheaper in the long run. But there’s more up front costs because you need to pay for the website theme, domain, website and hosting. It enables funnels for wordpress websites and has way more customizability and design options compared to clickfunnels. There are multiple funnel options you could create to boost collecting leads and increasing conversions. The most used type of funnel is the standard beat pack funnel.
This funnel consists of the first page being an email lead generation page.
There will be a video and some text for an artist to enter their email.
For example, “get 5 free beats all you have to do is enter your email,” or “get this spotify playlist curators list to download all you have to do is enter your email.” After the email lead generation page the artist will be brought to the sales page. It is usually after the lead generation page with the initial offer. This offer will be at a huge discount and is usually $40 or less.
The reason for this is because the next page after this initial offer page will be an upsell. So the goal of the initial offering page is to give them an offer that they can’t refuse. So when they get to the upsell page there is a chance that they might convert to a higher ticket item. They can either add the higher ticket item to their cart or decline the offer and still check out with the irresistible initial offer. This structure of a beat pack funnel is a standard protocol on how you should structure your funnels.
But there are other tactics that you can use. One funnel type that I use a lot with klassic beats.
That you should think of using is the cold email marketing funnel. You might ask why you need a funnel for email marketing. Considering with email marketing the conversion rates are already low when it comes to clicks on your emails.
You want to make sure that the potential leads that do click go to a funnel that’s gonna be a lot more high converting than just a normal link to your beatstar’s page or your website beat store.
This funnel is inherently different from the normal beat pack funnel because you will be giving something for free in the email marketing campaign. Since you already have their email and you’re not doing a normal lead page like in the beat pack funnel. The order of the funnel is essentially flipped to enable conversions and not devalue your brand with email marketing.
Converting Leads WIth Funnels
A potential lead clicks on the link to get their free product. It will take them to a sales page where there is an offer of whatever service or a full product of the free sample product you’re giving. If they want the full product they will be able to purchase it and it will include the free offer from the email. But if the customer does not want the offer and they only want the free product even after being shown the sales page.
They can click a big button that says “No, I just want my free offer.”
This makes whatever customer base you are advertising to work for the free product they received and doesn’t leave money on the table because you gave them a sales page before giving the free product.
I made the mistake in the beginning by giving out the free product without showing any sales page or any option to buy an upgrade.
Email Marketing With Funnels
So when I had an email campaign with over 20K subscribers getting sent free products and services. I ended up devaluing my brand because I received no sales from that advertising campaign. Which should be the main priority when it comes to cold email marketing and other forms of customer outreach.
I always stress that building relationships and connecting with artists is a key objective when it comes to advertising. But you don’t want to waste your time too much. What I mean by that is a lot of artists and producers that you reach out to might lead you on thinking that you will work with them or they’ll buy a service and then in the end of it all you’ve wasted a decent amount of time.
This is why it is very important to decipher when customers are wasting your time.
Also, try to distinguish who to build relationships with and who to avoid relationships with and who to avoid when it comes to putting in extra effort.
Over time you will be able to figure out which leads are more valuable than others. In summary, using funnels to sell beats puts you at an advantage compared to other producers. You are able to convince an artist or producer to commit to buying a product easier than a producer trying to get a sale without a funnel.
